Notice of Gypsy Moth Treatments - May 2023

May 1, 2023

To minimize the risk invasive spongy moths pose to forests, farms, orchards and urban trees and to prevent the moths from becoming permanently established, the Ministry of Forests plans to carry out a spongy moth treatment program in Greater Victoria during the spring.  Aerial treatments are anticipated start in May 2023.

Each area will be treated three times and treatments typically occur 7 - 10 days apart. Please note that a single treatment can take up to two mornings to complete.
