Pacific Coastal Airlines Announces New Service between Victoria and Prince George

(Richmond BC) Pacific Coastal Airlines is pleased to announce the addition of a new regularly scheduled non-stop service between Victoria and Prince George effective Monday, January 12, 2015.

The new flight will operate once every day except Saturday. It is scheduled to depart Victoria International Airport (YYJ) at 5:00 P.M. (PST) arriving at Prince George Airport (YXS) at 6:40 P.M. (PST). The aircraft will depart Prince George at 7:05 P.M., arriving back in Victoria at 8:45 P.M.

The lowest one-way fare from Prince George starts at approximately $150.00 and from Victoria at about $140.00.

“We are looking forward to adding Prince George to our growing list of more than sixty-five destinations in British Columbia”, says Pacific Coastal Airlines’ Vice-President of Commercial Services Spencer Smith. “The addition of this new destination is an integral part of our strategic development plan and evidence of our ongoing commitment to serving the transportation needs of British Columbia. It provides us with a northern base in an area that is gearing up for future growth”, he adds.

Development and operation of the new route is supported through a strong partnership with Victoria International Airport and Prince George Airport.

“We are very pleased to see this new service and thank Pacific Coastal for starting the new flights. There has been tremendous economic growth in Northern BC and this route is a natural for Victoria,” said Geoff Dickson President and CEO Victoria Airport Authority.

The public can make a reservation on the website www.pacificcoastal.com, by phoning the call centre number at 1.800.663.2872, or through their local travel agency. Call centre hours are Monday to Friday 06:30–20:15, Saturday 07:30 – 18:00 and Sunday 07:30–20:15. Hours may vary on statutory holidays.
