New! Interactive Map of Multi-Use Path the Flight Path!

Oct 9, 2014

Victoria International Airport (YYJ) has launched an interactive map of its 9.3km multi-use path, the Flight Path.  This unique recreational facility was made for the community by the Victoria Airport Authority (VAA) and completed in May 2014.   The path surrounds the pastoral lands of the airport and showcases the natural beauty of the Saanich Peninsula and the magic of flight!  The map which is featured on our website includes:

  • Distance Markers
  • Viewing Areas
  • Hydration Station(s)
  • Washroom Facilities
  • Historical Feature Signs
  • Flight Path Etiquette
  • Printer-Friendly version, and
  • Mobile Application

"The Flight Path is a great opportunity not only for the residents of the community, employees of the airport and surrounding businesses to come out and enjoy the airport trail, we believe it will be a draw for residents of the broader region to visit to the Peninsula", said VAA President and CEO Geoff Dickson.
