Construction is underway to renew the deteriorating condition of our asphalt Short Term Lot and pave the existing gravel Overflow Lot. These improvements are part of a long term airport parking and access improvement strategy to bring a higher level of service and safety to our customers.

Effective November 1, 2010 the following parking procedures will be in effect:

Short Term Parking:

  • Follow the signage directing you to enter via the RIGHT HAND lane entrance of the Daily/Long Term Lot.
  • Once inside the lot, you will be directed to a portion of the Short Term Lot not currently under construction.
  • Exit via Daily/Long Term Lot exit using lane marked SHORT TERM.

Long Term Parking:

  • Follow the signage directing you to enter via the LEFT HAND lane entrance of the Daily/Long Term Lot.
  • Once inside, find a parking stall located within the Daily/Long Term Lot.
  • Exit via Daily/Long Term Exit using lanes marked LONG TERM.

Commercial Vehicles and Bus Parking:

  • The commercial vehicle and bus lane located within the Short Term Lot will be CLOSED.
  • Commercial vehicles are to follow the signage directing you to enter via the RIGHT HAND lane entrance of the Daily/Long Term Lot.
  • Once inside the lot, you will be directed to a portion of the Short Term Lot not currently under construction.
  • Large buses will be directed to park on the front curb of the Air Terminal Building.

Pedestrian pathways to the Air Terminal Building and Accessible parking stalls will be clearly marked.

Travellers and airport users are reminded to allow yourself a little extra time, observe posted speed limits in construction zones, and obey traffic control personnel, signs and signals at all times.

Construction is anticipated to last for 4-6 weeks.

Your patience and cooperation during construction is appreciated as we bring you these service improvements.
