The Victoria Airport Authority is calling all Teachers and Students to participate in our Poster Contest as part of North American Occupational Safety and Health Week April 30 - May 6, 2006. This year's theme - REVIEW, REFRESH, REVITALIZE.
Calling Teachers and Students!
The Victoria Airport Authority is hosting a Poster Contest for all Greater Victoria Elementary school students.
During the first week of May, the airport participates in the North American Occupational Safety and Health Week. We want to decorate our airport with posters to remind our employees and everyone that passes through about how important it is to work safely and live a healthy lifestyle.
Try to think about all the jobs that are done at the airport and demonstrate how safety and health are important to us. Your poster could show a worker being safe by lifting carefully or wearing protective equipment. A healthy worker could be exercising or eating a balanced diet. We know you will have lots of ideas, and we want to see them all!
Winning entries will receive a special visit to the Victoria Airport and our Firehall, FOR YOUR ENTIRE CLASS!
Posters can be drawn, coloured, painted or using just about any artistic additions you can imagine.
