SALT LAKE CITY, March 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Delta Air Lines this summer will offer customers even more choices for travel to and from the airline's growing Salt Lake City hub with the addition of seven new non-stop destinations effective June 8. The new destinations -- which will be the only non-stop service offered between Salt Lake City and any of these cities -- are: Aspen/Snowmass, Colo.; Bellingham, Wash.; Des Moines, Iowa; Fargo, N.D.; Sioux Falls, S.D.; Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Service to Aspen/Snowmass and Victoria will be operated seasonally between June 8 and September 2, 2006.

Today, Delta begins its inaugural service to Long Beach, California -- its 99th destination out of Salt Lake and later this week, will initiate service to its 100th destination from Salt Lake City when inaugural service begins to Mazatlan Mexico on Wednesday, March 8. Salt Lake City is Delta's third-largest hub and with Delta's increased presence has become the second-largest hub in the entire Western region.

``Delta is thrilled to be a part of this momentous occasion. Serving our 100th destination out of Salt Lake is certainly something to celebrate, but we're not stopping there,'' said Bob Cortelyou, Delta's vice president of Network Planning. ``We are proud to continue to expand our presence in Salt Lake City with the addition of seven more non-stop routes for our Salt Lake City customers. Since the beginning of 2005, Salt Lake City has become Delta's fastest growing domestic hub in terms of destinations served as customers have responded favorably to a growing line-up of popular new flights from our convenient Mountain West hub to destinations throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico.''

Since October, Delta has added or announced new service between Salt Lake City and 21 non-stop destinations, including flights launched last year to leisure and business hot spots such as Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Kona, Hawaii; Hartford, Conn., New York-LaGuardia; Miami, Fla.; and Columbus, Ohio.

To celebrate its newest routes, for a limited time Delta is offering special introductory airfares for travel via Salt Lake City to or from any of the hub's seven new destinations. Tickets must be purchased by March 21, 2006.

Delta's new service to Aspen, Bellingham, Des Moines, Fargo, Sioux Falls and Victoria will be operated by Delta Connection carriers Atlantic Southeast Airlines and SkyWest with quiet and comfortable Bombardier regional jets, while service to Toronto will by operated by Delta using the popular MD90 aircraft. The flights are now available for sale to customers as follows:

Salt Lake City is Delta's fastest growing domestic hub in terms of destinations served. Since October, Delta has added or announced flights to 21 new non-stop destinations from Salt Lake City, including the airline's 100th destination from Salt Lake City in March. Salt Lake City is Delta's largest gateway to Hawaii with non-stop service to Honolulu, Maui and Kona; is the only Delta hub to offer customers year-round service to Alaska; and is a growing gateway to Mexico with non-stop service to Cancun, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan (effective March 8). With its March 2006 schedule, Delta offers Salt Lake City customers more than 300 daily flights to 100 non-stop destinations.

Delta Air Lines (Other OTC:DALRQ.PK - News ) is one of the world's fastest growing international carriers with more than 50 new international routes added or announced in the last year. Delta offers daily flights to 503 destinations in 94 countries on Delta, Song, Delta Shuttle, the Delta Connection carriers and its worldwide partners. In summer 2006, Delta plans to offer customers more destinations and departures between the U.S., Europe, India and Israel than any global airline(c), including service on 11 new transatlantic routes from its Atlanta and New York-JFK hubs. Delta also is a major carrier to Mexico, South and Central America and the Caribbean, with more than 35 routes announced, added or applied to serve since Jan. 1, 2005. Delta's marketing alliances also allow customers to earn and redeem SkyMiles on more than 14,000 flights offered by SkyTeam and other partners. Delta is a founding member of SkyTeam, a global airline alliance that provides customers with extensive worldwide destinations, flights and services. A portion of travel for some itineraries may be on the Delta Connection carriers: Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Shuttle America and SkyWest.

Restrictions: Fares shown are available for purchase only on delta.com or from your travel agent. Tickets cost $10 more if purchased from Delta over the telephone or $15 more if purchased at an airport or city ticket office, and these amounts are nonrefundable. Travel agents may impose an additional service charge for ticketing. Tickets are non-transferable. Seats are limited and fares may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Tickets: Fares shown are one-way. Round-trip purchase is required. Tickets must be purchased at least 21 days prior to departure, but no later than March 21, 2006. See delta.com for online ticket purchase requirements and restrictions. Travel Period: Travel may begin on or after June 8, 2006 and must be completed by August 1, 2006. Blackout Dates: Travel is not permitted June 30 or July 9, 2006. Fare Validity: Fares are valid in the Economy (Coach) cabin on Delta/Delta Connection carrier flights only. Minimum Stay: One night. Maximum Stay: August 1, 2006. Cancellations/Refunds/Changes: Fares are nonrefundable. Delta may permit you to apply a portion of the fare value to future travel upon payment of applicable fees and fare difference, otherwise the ticket will have no value. Delta may allow you to cancel certain electronic tickets until midnight of the day after purchase (or midnight of the departure date of the first flight, whichever comes first) without penalty if purchased at the time of reservation directly from Delta.
