ZIP Expansion Plans Include Victoria!

ZIP TAKES OFF IN EASTERN CANADA AND EXPANDS IN WESTERN CANADA CALGARY, DECEMBER 5, 2002 - ZIP is pleased to announce the expansion of its high value, low fare service to Ottawa, Montreal, Victoria and Abbotsford. Beginning February 2, 2003, ZIP will add three aircraft to its existing fleet of seven to operate new non-stop flights between Winnipeg and Montreal, Winnipeg and Ottawa, and Calgary and Abbotsford, replacing Air Canada network flights. ZIP will also start service between Calgary and Victoria. These new destinations will extend ZIP's current network between Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton and Winnipeg, which began September 22, 2002 to eight cities with up to 42 non-stop flights daily. In addition to its everyday low fares, ZIP is offering special introductory fares on its new routes, which are available immediately. Customers can book online at www.4321zip.com and save an additional $10.00 on every return booking or call toll-free through the ZIP Call Centre at 1-866-4321-ZIP (1-866-432-1947) or book through their travel agent. "Our passengers are telling us that we are right on track," said Steve Smith, President and CEO of ZIP. The research also indicates that ZIP rates better for customer comfort -- including legroom -- than all other Canadian low fare carriers. In addition, ZIP operates with the best on time performance compared to low fare competitors in Canada." Customers can purchase electronic tickets and check in at convenient Express Check-In kiosks at most airport locations.
