What types of jobs are available with Victoria Airport Authority (VAA)?

Jobs with Victoria Airport Authority (VAA) include corporate administration, financial positions, equipment operators, electricians, maintenance craftsman, fire fighters, fire captains, and IT (Information Technology) roles.  Each position is varied and challenging.

How do I apply for a position with VAA?

VAA only accepts resumes for posted or advertised opportunities.  Available positions are posted in the Careers section of our website.  You must submit a resume with an accompanying cover letter specifying the position you are applying for.  Your resume and cover letter should clearly demonstrate how you meet the minimal qualifications for the position.  Documents will be accepted in a PDF or MSWord file.

Do I have to apply for every position advertised?

Yes.  Each posting is considered separate.

What does VAA's benefit package consist of?

What are the requirements for working for VAA?

Employees of VAA must be able to obtain and maintain a RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card) as identified in the Canadian Aviation Security Regulations.  Details on how to apply for your RAIC will be provided upon hire.

If I am not a Canadian Citizen, can I still work for VAA?

Victoria International Airport has nearly 100 businesses that operate on airport lands.  In addition to the types of jobs mentioned above, there are also business in technology, manufacturing, administration, aircraft maintenance, and government agencies.  You will need to contact these companies directly however, here a few links to businesses within the Air Terminal Building.
