Air Canada launches new Tango service between Victoria-Calgary-Toronto

June 1, 2002 - A host of of local officials, including representatives of the Victoria Airport Authority and Air Canada were on hand to inaugurate the new daily service to Calgary-Toronto. Festivities included a ribbon cutting and an on-board give-away of a pair of tickets anywhere in the Tango network for one lucky passenger on the inaugural flight.

Richard Paquette, President-CEO of the Victoria Airport Authority welcomes the new service saying that "Calgary and Toronto are two of our strongest markets out of Victoria, and the Victoria Airport Authority welcomes the convenience and the passenger appeal which this new product brings to our community."

The Victoria-Calgary-Toronto service will be operated with a A320 aircraft in a 159-seat all economy configuration.
